It is worth mentioning that the understanding of beauty has always undergone changes. The standards were different years ago and today. This has been one of the beauty pageants of all time.

Armi Kurrsela from Finland was titled Miss Universe when she was still 16.

Today, she is 87 and is happily married being the mother of five adorable kids. Later in life, she became a goodwill ambassador.

Here is Luz Marina Suluaga, the Miss Universe in 1958.

In 1959, the title was held by Akiko Kojima from Japan.

It is worth mentioning that she became the very first Asian to win the prestigious title.

Here is Corinna Tsopei who won the title in 1964.

She is still quite active in organizing campaigns for children with leukemia.
